 Touring St. John’s
This tour is an excellent orientation to the history, legend and lore of St. John’s, the oldest city in North America. This is where the sun shines first, the easternmost city in Canada. Come explore St. John’s, where big city luxury meets small town charm.
 
 Touring the Cape Shore
Visit the Museum of the Atlantic Allies in Argentia that was a major American naval base in World War II. The exhibition deals with the effect the U.S. presence had on the area. Placentia, the former French Capital of Newfoundland has many features of interest to tourists. It has the only lift bridge in Newfoundland. There are old fort sites, a museum, the O'Reilly Heritage House, and a church with a graveyard site that is one of the oldest in Canada.
 
 Touring the Irish Loop
Explore the region by car or on foot. The East Coast Trail that follows the Eastern Shore of the Avalon Peninsula brings walkers and hikers to cliff top perches for fantastic views of the coastline.
 
 Touring Bell Island
Just a twenty minute drive from your accommodations in St. John’s will bring you to Portugal Cove where you will board one of two ferries that cross the “tickle” to Bell Island.
 
 Touring the Heritage Run
A two hour drive from St. John’s on the Trans Canada Highway will bring you to Route 210 and an entirely different part of Newfoundland both in geography and outlook.

 Touring the Discovery Trail and Trinity
Located along Newfoundland’s East Coast, the Discovery Trail offers visitor’s a look into the past with a perfect view of the history, heritage and culture. Come visit numerous heritage and historical sites, interpretive centers, museums and craft stores, restaurants and accommodations.
 
 Touring the Baccalieu Trail
View communities with unique museums, craft shops, churches and attractions. Baccalieu is an old Portuguese word for codfish. Visit Hawthorne Cottage (a national Historic Site) at Brigus, the famed home of Captain Bob Bartlett, the ice pilot who guided Robert Peary on his polar expedition in 1908.
